Aggressive Z Styling
- A HEROIC STANCE: Featuring standout Sugomi styling, the Z900 ABS supernaked has a noticeably aggressive fuel tank cover, shrouds, and under cowls that form the distinct Z silhouette. These impeccably sharp accents contribute to a raw, yet refined image that’s not afraid to look the hero.
- IT STARTS WITH SUGOMI: Sugomi is defined as the intense aura given off by a person or object with great power. Infused with this philosophy, the imposing form of the Z900 ABS supernaked is centered around the powerful 948cc in-line 4-cylinder engine. The low-positioned, aggressive front end and upswept tail cut a dynamic, crouching posture that results in a stunning, visceral impact even when parked. Heroic and menacing all in one, the original streetfighter stands confidently in Sugomi style, untouched by the competition.
- SYMMETRY IN MOTION: One look at the Z900 ABS reveals its striking symmetry. Both form and function are elegantly blended, from the angular cues of the front fascia to the bold lines of the body and upswept tail, with a stylish rear seat that complements the tail cowl. New brushed aluminum shrouds engraved with the “Z” logo and metallic accents add premium refinement throughout, resulting in a finished look as sharp as its Sugomi performance.
- THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT: The triple LED headlight design, LED license plate lamp, and sharp front and rear LED turn signals are aggressively designed and unmistakable. A new, advanced LED taillight design completes the all-LED lighting package, featuring a cutting-edge, 3D appearance while delivering a high-grade, luxurious look that points to the future.

- GREAT COMMUNICATOR: The relationship between pegs, seat, and handlebars was designed to enhance communication between you and the machine, giving you a confidence-inspiring feeling of control that complements its agile handling. This is the sweet spot between relaxed and ready to pounce.
- POISED TO ATTACK: A new fat-type aluminum handlebar offers improved rigidity, featuring a wide grip that places your shoulders in “attack position” and hands at-the-ready for a posture that stays in command, and in control.
- FIRST-CLASS SEAT: The new seat is flatter to allow you to shift around and take a variety of riding positions for better rider-active control during sport riding. Thicker urethane in its rear portion provides increased riding comfort. The seat features rounder edges on the sides for a more comfortable reach to the ground, while its new shape also allows you to easily shift your weight during sport riding.

Next-Level Tech
- EQUIPPED FOR THE MODERN AGE: Equipped with a suite of high-grade electronics and rider aids, the Z900 ABS supernaked merges raw power with cutting-edge technology. This results in a motorcycle fit for the modern age, while continually charging forward.
- INERTIAL MEASUREMENT UNIT: IMU-equipped electronic riding support technology brings advanced capability to Z for the ultimate riding experience. Using Bosch’s compact Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), inertia is monitored along 6 Degrees of Freedom. Acceleration along longitudinal, transverse, and vertical axes, plus roll rate and pitch rate are measured. The yaw rate is calculated using Kawasaki’s proprietary dynamic modeling software. Input from the 6-axis IMU adds greater precision to Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), enabling the additional function of corner braking management. By calculating the motorcycle’s lean angle, IMU feedback helps modulate brake force for any sudden erratic movements or slippage in a corner, assisting in holding your intended line through the turn. When slowing in a straight line, IMU-enhanced ABS also helps manage pitching to suppress rear-wheel lift under heavy braking.
- KAWASAKI CORNER MANAGEMENT FUNCTION: Kawasaki Corner Management Function (KCMF) helps modulate brake force and engine power for more precise control through corners. KCMF helps facilitate a smooth transition from accelerating to braking and accelerating again, assisting in tracing your intended line through the turn.
- FULL-COLOR. FULL ATTENTION: New 5-in TFT full-color meter features 2 display types. Type 1 shows a bar-style tachometer along the top with vital vehicle information and turn-by-turn directions below if navigation is in use. Type 2 shows a hexagonal tachometer with either an aviation-style attitude indicator icon that displays lean angle in real-time or turn-by-turn directions in the center. In a Kawasaki first, the display can show turn-by-turn navigation to give you a simple indication of the direction and distance to the next turn, adding to convenience and riding enjoyment.
- “HEY KAWASAKI, SWITCH TO SPORT MODE.”: Bluetooth technology within the instrument panel lets you connect to your motorcycle wirelessly. Using smartphone connectivity (via RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE*) several instrument functions can be accessed allowing you to view vehicle info, riding log, phone notifications, tuning of general settings, Kawasaki Riding Management, and turn-by-turn navigation. The Z900 ABS is equipped with new smartphone connectivity with available voice command and turn-by-turn navigation using RIDEOLOGY THE APP MOTORCYCLE*. Experience even more freedom to focus on the ride while being totally connected. *RIDEOLOGY THE APP and all trademarks, registered trademarks, logos, and copyrights are the property of their respective owners. Voice command and navigation functions will be available only to users who have a license. Feature availability may vary to meet individual markets.
- KAWASAKI TRACTION CONTROL: Kawasaki TRaction Control (KTRC) system provides both enhanced sport riding performance and the confidence to negotiate low-traction surfaces. Three rider-selectable modes offer progressively greater levels of intrusion to suit the riding situation and your preference: – Mode 1 provides the least amount of assistance with sport riding in mind. – Mode 2 offers earlier assistance and features balanced sport riding support. – Mode 3 offers the most assistance, allowing you to navigate challenging road conditions with confidence.
- POWER STANCE: A choice between Full Power or Low Power modes allows you to set power delivery to suit preference and conditions. Low Power mode limits output to approximately 75% of Full Power for enhanced manageability.
- READY FOR ANYTHING: Integrated riding modes link KTRC settings and Power Modes, allowing you to easily set traction control and power delivery to suit your given riding situation and optimize your riding experience. Select between Sport, Road, Rain, or Manual to tailor the ride to conditions and preferences. The riding mode can be changed while riding, using the buttons located on the left handle.
